The Energeyes Board Introduces their Executive Director & CE

 Nashville, TN– The Board of Directors of Energeyes, the American Association of Corporate Optometrists, would like to take this opportunity to introduce their new Executive Director and CEO, Tiffany A. Jackson, CAE, CQIA. 

 Last fall a rigorous search was conducted for a new staff leader of Energeyes. The search committee, led by Dr. Maurice Wilson, OD, Energeyes Vice-President, interviewed several talented applicants before selecting Ms. Jackson. “We were looking for someone with a strong knowledge of non-profit medical association management” said Dr. Wilson. “ Energeyes has so much to offer corporate ODs at every career level, and we really need a leader that clearly understands how to organize an association and develop opportunities for the unique corporate OD membership community” he continued. 

 Ms. Jackson is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), with over 25 years of experience working for global non-profit associations. She earned the CAE credential in 2007 from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). The CAE is a designation that elevates professional association practitioner standards, and is a mark of excellence in the field of professional association management. She is also a Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA). The CQIA program is a certification program of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and certifies an individual in knowledge areas of quality tools and their practical uses in business, strategic planning, and quality improvement projects.  

 “It has all been very fast-paced! I ‘hit the ground running’ earlier this year by placing my immediate focus on bringing the association into compliance as a non-profit association through proven best practices, also we launched a new “.org” website, partnered with SECO on an excellent education event, and made the decision to hold the October 2018 Annual Conference at the Four Seasons Hotel in St. Louis. I am now working with the Energeyes volunteer leaders to strengthen the organization’s value proposition for members which includes adding valuable benefits such as free websites, the new journal, and enhanced networking opportunities” commented Jackson. “There is so much the association can offer ODs working in a corporate setting, it is now time to raise brand awareness about this special community” she continued.  

 Prior to her position with EnergeyesJackson led membership development, chapters, and regional programs, as a director for a Washington, DC-based, non-profit trade association, called the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS).  Her career also includes serving as the Global Member Development Manager for ASQ-Global, an international subsidiary of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). While at ASQ-Global she worked with volunteers and member-driven teams to develop international member units in Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East. She also worked for one of the top five accredited Association Management Companies in the US, called EDI where she managed two medical societies. 

 Ms. Jackson’s entire professional career has been in association management, working for and managing all types of non-profit trade organizations including medical societies. Jackson has travelled and conducted business for associations in 25 different countries including: Argentina, Brazil, China, India, Malaysia, Peru, Turkey, Singapore, South Korea, UAE, UK, and Qatar.  She attended the University of WI-Parkside, where she studied Theatre Arts.  

“Ms. Jackson’s vast experience in nonprofit association management has already served the organization well as we continue to harness the potential of serving our members as well as the overall community of 13,0000+ Corporate Affiliated-Optometrists,” said Dr. Naheed Ahmad,OD,  Energeyes President. “It has been a pleasure to work with Ms. Jackson and I continue to be amazed by her organizational abilities to influence very positive changes!” she continued.

The new Energeyes Journal,Electrifeye, which launched in March is truly an impressive success and working with such an experienced and talented Editor-in-Chief as Dr. Ernest Bowling has been an excellent experience” said Jackson.
